Until you do, why not outsource some or all of the workload?

Why Virtual Office Management/Support Services May Be Your Answer

Here are just some of the reasons why clients use virtual office management/support services.  You may have others:
  • Coaches and other solopreneurs can always use more time, hands on deck, and focus on what's most important;
  • Solopreneurs can stop doing administrative tasks in their business and get back to making the decisions and contacts that drive their business;
  • RRBS support services go far beyond the ability to provide basic secretarial skills;
  • Writer's block is real!  Avoid the pressure of creating new blogs, website content and social media posts weekly.
  • Let us establish you as the expert in your field through your written presence online, in print and more;
  • Virtual assistance gives you the ability to support your current staff during peak workload times and vacations;
  • You can take routine projects off your staff's plate on an ongoing basis or temporary basis, to avoid burnout;
  • You've experienced a sudden loss of personnel and haven't hired a replacement yet;
  • You can hire out tasks for which someone else has more experience in doing, such as generating press releases and marketing copy;
  • Outsourcing mundane or repetitive tasks lets your staff concentrate on more important work and grow their own skills;
  • Writing is not your strong suit, you're dyslexic or you just want an extra pair of eyes to review your manuscript, documents, etc. before publication;
  • Avoid the human resource headaches and expenses of advertising, interviewing, hiring, training, managing, scheduling, performing reviews, disciplining, motivating and more;
  • Save money by not paying for ongoing employee expenses like workers compensation insurance; Social Security; employee benefits such as health insurance, retirement, sick time; office space; office equipment; and office supplies;
  • Contracting with a virtual assistant means you don't watch your money stand around a water cooler or post on personal Facebook or Twitter accounts since you pay only for the services provided; and
  • It allows you to explore whether  the new workload warrants hiring permanent staff.

WHY HIRING THROUGH A STAFFING AGENCY MAY NOT BE YOUR ANSWER
  • When you hire office management/administrative support through an agency, you still need to provide office space, office equipment, supplies, manage the temporary personnel, and take on injury risks.  Not so with virtual support.
  • Virtual office management/support services allow you to deal directly with the person providing the services, rather than a staffing agent.  This allows you to feel more confident in the service provider's abilities, and build trust that they will get the job done well and efficiently.
  • Temp agencies pay their temporary employees, their placement agents, and they also add on additional amounts to cover their overhead expenses and make a profit.  That's built into the hourly fee they charge you, which means you often pay more, regardless of whether the project is completed to your satisfaction.
  • If the temp assigned to you spends more time talking on the telephone or with other employees instead of completing a project, you are charged for that time regardless of whether the project has been completed.  It's in the best interest of the virtual office management/support person to complete your project as quickly and efficiently as possible, so they can get onto another project and earn more money.
  • Because you deal with the same individual consistently when using a virtual service, there's a reduced learning curve.  The virtual office manager/assistant has worked directly with you before; therefore he or she already knows your business and how you like things done.

How The Process Works

Let's talk about what parts of your business are keeping you from bringing in the bread and butter.  I can let you know if RRBS is the best choice for you or recommend other potential solutions that may be a better fit.  Then we design a plan together, based on your needs, time frame and budget.

Services are usually contracted on a:
  • per-project basis; or
  • by purchasing blocks of hours monthly; or
  • on a monthly retainer for ongoing services.

Doing so allows you to budget more easily, and save more money in the long-run by only purchasing what you need.  No more paying for unnecessary overhead, learning curves with different temps every time there's a new project, temporary help standing around the coffee pot distracting your other workers or shopping online, Facebooking, and more.
